What You’ll Get

One healthy germinated seed from this pairing. The seed has already germinated and begun active development.

Parentage

(Variegated Wonderboy × Papillilaminum) × Tezula Dreamweaver F4

Lineage + Provenance

Variegated Wonderboy × Papillilaminum

This is the same mother used in the Jiggy Tutti Frutti project. In that earlier pairing, approximately 40% of the observed offspring from this mother showed visible variegation. That observation belongs to the prior Tutti Frutti population and is not a predicted rate for this cross.

Tezula Dreamweaver F4

Dreamweaver F4 comes from the Tezula Red Crystallinum breeding program and is retained under that source designation.

Why This Cross

I already know this mother is capable of producing variegated offspring. This time I paired it with Dreamweaver because I wanted to see what happens when that instability meets a line selected around red emergents and stronger color contrast.

What I’m Watching For

  • Any variegated expression as the seedlings develop
  • Red, pink, burgundy or bronze emergents
  • Pink-to-red venation
  • Velvet quality and mature contrast
  • Seedlings that combine variegation and Dreamweaver color without losing vigor or structure

Variegation, red venation and emergent color are not guaranteed. The 40% figure comes from a different cross using the same mother and should not be treated as an expected rate here.

Grower’s Notes

The mother already gave me useful information in the Tutti Frutti grow-out. This pairing is the next question, not a promise. At germinated-seed stage the job is to grow them cleanly and let the population show us what is actually there.

Collector’s Notes

  • Germinated seed
  • Same seed parent used in the Tutti Frutti project
  • Dreamweaver F4 source: Tezula Red Crystallinum program
  • Parent photos are reference images; each seed is genetically unique

GROWER'S CHOICE.
BEST AVAILABLE FIRST.

I select from the available batch at shipping time, starting with the strongest, healthiest material and the best expression of the traits I’m watching for at that stage. If one is showing out and makes me stop and say, “Sheesh,” that is usually the one I’m reaching for.

Unless a listing explicitly says otherwise, photos document the genetics, parent material or representative plants. Your order is Grower’s Choice from the available batch.

GROWING NOTES

STRONG ROOTS FIRST.

LEAVES WILL FOLLOW.

Keep the plant stable after arrival and give it time to settle before chasing the next leaf. For my full approach to acclimation, ambient growing, cabinets, seedlings and established plants, use the Jiggy Care Guide.

READ THE JIGGY CARE GUIDE

#JIGGYBABIES AFTER THE BOX

The growing part starts here.

When this plant leaves the Jiggy Vault, the story is not over. Settle it in, learn what it likes, ask when you need help, and enjoy what the genetics become in your hands. When an emergent has you saying OMG, send it my way. That is the fun of #Jiggybabies.

QUESTIONS WELCOMEYou do not have to already know everything.

The Care Guide gives you a starting point, and I am still here if your plant has you confused.

CARE CONTINUESThe relationship does not end at checkout.

Plant safety, honest expectations and support after delivery are part of the same standard.

SHARE THE GROW-OUTYour result becomes part of the story.

Emergents, first big leaves, weird surprises and those “that’s fire” moments are worth sharing with the people growing alongside you.
