Tutti Frutti brings together a variegated Wonderboy × Papillilaminum side with Carlablackiae × RVDP genetics on the other. This is a JiggyPlantGuy-produced release and the seedlings in this listing have already shown variegated expression.
My goal with this pairing was to put variegation into a plant that still has something worth looking at underneath it. I’m not interested in variegation carrying the whole plant. I want structure, velvet, contrast and mature character to matter too.
Variegation is living expression, not a contract. These seedlings are confirmed variegated, but the amount and pattern can shift from leaf to leaf and future leaves are never guaranteed to repeat the last one.
This is exactly why I like growing seed-grown variegates. Once the seedling confirms it has the ability, the rest is watching how it chooses to use it. Some get louder. Some get quieter. Some throw one leaf that makes you stop what you’re doing. The plant gets the final vote.
