BVEP “Sun” Self
“Sun” is a BVEP selection acquired and named by Manny in 2021. The plant came through Scott Cohen and traces back to Rory Antolak. I keep those pieces together because the path the plant took matters just as much as the shorthand name collectors eventually use for it.
This is a self, so the question is different from a normal hybrid. I’m not trying to mash two unrelated looks together. I want to see how much of “Sun” can reshuffle inside its own offspring and which pieces repeat strongly enough to teach us something about the line.
A self does not mean a clone. Every seedling is genetically unique and can express the parent differently.
This is one I don’t want rushed. The interesting part of a self is seeing what stays, what disappears and what gets exaggerated once the genetics reshuffle. Grow it slow. Let it speak.
